Abstract

The human dream of “Sustainable Future” is under major stress due to the unscrupulous and irresponsible use of polluting fuels; especially over the past and current centuries. Reversing this scenario and moving rapidly towards clean and renewable energy has become an absolute necessity. While several countries worldwide are talking more and acting less, India is moving forward fairly rapidly towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various initiatives. We will discuss some examples of my own research in this domain, especially the development of sustainable batteries; highlighting the notion and significance of a pragmatic approach.
