Dr. Nanasaheb Thorat grew up in a small town in rural Maharashtra but his cancer research has made him famous around the globe. He currently works as Associate Professor in University of Limerick, Ireland and he is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He specializes in Cancer Research and has held several prestigious fellowships including Maire Curie Fellowship at Oxford University in 2020-2022. He has already published six books and numerous articles in the area of path-breaking solutions for cancer. He holds Ph.D. from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra and several awards on international arena.
