In this talk Dr. Dhongde will focus on monthly estimates of multidimensional hardships experienced by Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is based on compiled data from the Census’s Household Pulse Survey on job insecurity, food insufficiency, housing insecurity, and mental health.

In dealing with the pandemic, there are many important decisions to be made by elected officials. The main goal of our research is to predict future Covid-19 outcomes using past data to make out-of-sample forecasts.
